Matoom Art Space was opened from 1 March 2005 In the heart of Chiangmai city Thailand by Artist Chumpol Taksapornchai.
Matoom Art Space has a good reputation for presenting and promoting local, regional and international contemporary art in Chiang mai Thailand. The Gallery showcases the work of both emerging and mid-career artists through carefully curated exhibitions and art event and also art consultant & service in Chiangmai and all around Thailand.
Born on 20 March 1977 in Bangkok
Studied Fine art inThaivijitsilpa Art College in Chiang Mai and graduated from Rajabhat Thonburi Institute in Bangkok with a degree in Visual communication art design.
Chumpol is a full time artist and owner of Matoom art space in Chiang Mai.
Chumpol's work has been used in a number of local publications in adition to being exhibited in galleries throughout Thailand,
as well as in Australia, Czech Republic,Japan and Switzerland.
Using a versatile set of mediums which include oil,acrylic,watercolours,and pastel on canvas and hand made bamboo papers.
his art work exudes a peaceful aura,a reflection of the philosophy that shapes his everyday life,culture and faith.
